Florence has the best gelato, Italy's favorite dessert, leather jackets, pocketbooks, belts, etc. & master craftsmen creating gold jewelry in front of you. Visit the flea market. You may discover an ancient work of art or masterpeice hidden for centuries.
Your itinerary can include the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the wine country of Tuscany, the designer shopping outlets and even a cooking lesson or a day at the spa. Just ask.

Tour #1) Florence & Museums Full Day Tour - an hour ride to historical Florence and meet your local guide (included in price) for a 3 hour tour including a tour of the Accademia Museum (included in price)to see Michelangelo's David OR the Ufizzi Gallery & Museum (admissions included) considered by many to be the finest art gallery in Europe. After your choice of museums a walking tour seeing the Cathedral & Baptistry followed by visits to the Duomo and Baptistery & time permitting other sights in the historical center of Florence.
Have a relaxed free afternoon in Florence. Visit the Ponte Vecchio the jewelry center. visit high fashion shops for that special gift to take back home or treat yourself. Meet your driver this afternoon at a predetermined time and place and as you leave Florence and think about the full day in Florence that will be one of the highlights and lasting memories of your cruise.
This tour assures you a slower day visiiting a famous museum or art gallery and an in depth walking and driving tour of Florence.

Tour # 2) Pisa & Florence Full Day Tour- a quick hour plus ride to the center of Florence and meet your local guide (included in price) for either a 3 hour tour of the the Ufizzi Gallery OR the Accademia Museum (admissions included) and the Duomo and Baptistery as above.
After lunch (not included) at a recommended Pizzzeria or Trattoria, limited time for browsing & shopping on your own and meet your driver and on your way back to the ship, a short stop at the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa with time for photo opportunities.
Tour #3) Full Day full day "Do it Yourself" with english speaking "savvy" driver who will show you the way or if you want to shop the discount stores, have lunch (not included) at your favorite eatery, etc. let us know & we'll set it up. Note: Your driver is available at all times during the tour.

Important: Wear comfortable shoes. You must be able to walk over cobblestone surfaces and climb steps and sloping paths in historic areas and gardens. Most churches impose a dress code and admission can be refused. Shorts, tank tops & revealing clothing is not acceptable. Knees and shoulders should be covered. In case of inclement weather or in the event that an attraction is closed (Ufizzi & Accademia are closed on Mondays in Florence) another event will be substituted. |
