After Breakfast travel west along the coast to Erice, 2500 above the coast, a walled town dating back to 460 BC under Carthaginian rule, never colonized favored the Greeks. Narrow, cobblestone streets, steep stairs, tiny old churches, ancient squares, small stone houses, arcaded pathways, and shops selling locally produced handmade carpets with geometric designs.
